Online A Wrap Up/Reflection

Why is technology important?

Technology is important for helping our everyday lives. We can use to it talk to others on the other side of the world, search things up, and make everything easier.

Without it, we would basically be clueless monkeys.

How has technology changed over the last 5 years?

Technology has changed over the past years by the Internet growing more and more each day, and the devices are getting smaller, making it more portable.

With each passing day it becomes slightly more advanced.

How do you think it will change in the next 5 years?

Technology will probably be much more advanced in just 5 years. I don't know how, it just probably will be.

What type of technology do you use for school work?

The technology used for school work would be mainly computers to create assignment papers, PowerPoint's, graphs, and diagrams.

What type of technology do you use for personal use?

At home the technology I use would include mainly my iPod Touch, but sometimes my computer, I use them both to get on FaceBook, play online computer games, and post in my favourite forum.

How do you think you will use some of these tools from Online A in the future?

Not sure, I already knew a lot of this stuff when I came in.

But I guess when I have to take Online B is when I'll use it the most. Other than that, not so much.

Which of these tools do you think is the most practical for lifelong learning?

The most practical for online learning? I guess online safety, it seems to be extremely important as we learn it every year.

Which of these tools do you think that you will never use again?

I don't think I will ever use most of the vocab listed in our Web 2.0 Terms, nor will I ever use Audacity. Mainly because I knew most of those vocab words and I don't like recording my voice.

Which of these tools was your favorite to create?

I think my favorite tool to create was the avatars. It was fun making a little "me" on the screen here at school. The iGoogle page was fun too.

Which was your least favorite?

My least favourite would have to be the Podcasts/voice recordings. I didn't like speaking to myself and feeling all awkward because everyone was listening to me.

Zoo Review

I chose the Button Wood Park Zoo, which is located in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
I chose this Zoo not because it's in "New Bedford", but because I have a good friend in Massachusetts, and the name sounded cool.

The site gives very limited information on the Zoo, including attractions and entertainment.

This site does present pictures, but very limited ones, as in, only one picture for each animal, if that.

A downside is that this site does not offer any animals webcams or a virtual tour of the Zoo, or even any pictures aside from the animals, as a matter of fact.

The best part of the website would have to be the simplicity of it all.

Although, I would have to say that the site needs better descriptions of their animals, not the animal's species in general. Like; they should list how many of that animal, gender, how old it is, and it's name, and what it likes to do, etc.

I especially liked the Otters. ♥

In Ten Years...

In ten years, I am hoping to have visited London, England, and either stayed and lived there, or stay here, in Michigan.
I am hoping to have a boyfriend, but not a husband, and possibly one child. ONE child. And his name shall be Socks. I swear it.
I want to work as a possible Scientist, or a Vet or something.

I shall have a pet Mara. Maras are the second largest rodent in the world(around the size of a Shibu Inu).

I'm not striving for an amazing solid gold mansion, just a small house or something next to a large field would be fine.
That's really it. I don't ask for much, but if I make it in ten years, that's what I want to happen.
